Energize Bend is a coalition of local organizations and individuals educating the community about electrification, helping residents make upgrades, and advocating for the transition to clean energy.
Our mission is to make it easier, faster, and more affordable to decarbonize homes and buildings in our community. Together, we work to create a better Bend.
Make a bigger impact
Electrifying your own home is important, but bigger systemic changes are needed to decarbonize our buildings, transportation, and infrastructure. Help make a bigger impact by volunteering with us!
Volunteer opportunities:
⚡Communicate with local elected officials.
⚡Write letters to the editor and op-eds.
⚡Educate our community about electrification benefits and legislative solutions.
⚡Give public testimony / comments at key moments.
⚡Become a ‘Home Energy Coach’ to help teach neighbors and residents how to electrify.
We provide:
⚡Information and training to empower you to take action.
⚡Monthly meetings to organize and plan.
⚡Opportunities to engage with the community at local events.
⚡Network of volunteers in the Bend area.
Time commitment:
We welcome anyone who is serious about joining us as a volunteer and making an impact towards our electrification efforts. Some of our volunteers take just 1 or 2 hours a month, while others dedicate even more time. We hold no upper limit on your dedication to your volunteer work and helping us create a better Bend!
